We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to support teams building new, innovative shopping experiences that enable every customer to discover, evaluate, and select products they love. This is an opportunity to partner with teams innovating the way that millions of products are displayed to customers worldwide and key features that help customers make their purchase decisions.
The person serving in this role will provide legal guidance on new feature and product development and advise on complex issues, including competition, privacy, and other regulatory matters. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.

Key job responsibilities
- Support business leaders as lead counsel on new product and feature launches
- Advise on complex issues, including competition, privacy, and other regulatory matters, and litigation strategies
- Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice
- Work effectively across business, department, and cross-functional stakeholders
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
- Knowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
