Job Description

 Legal Internship
 
The Legal Department is seeking a motivated 2L or 3L law student for a part-time Legal Internship focused on transactional and compliance work within the telecommunications industry.
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply legal concepts and theories to real-world scenarios while supporting the company’s business objectives. The intern will gain meaningful exposure to contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional business operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
The position reports directly to the General Counsel and will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Engineering, and Operations. The internship is expected to run from December 2025 through April 2026, approximately 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Legal Department with ongoing initiatives, process improvements, and other ad hoc projects.
  • Assist the Sales team in preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) and other solicitation materials for Ezee Fiber services.
  • Review, draft, and support negotiations of a broad range of agreements and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of legal deliverables.
  • Participate in Legal Department meetings and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Gain hands-on experience in contract drafting, negotiation support, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop a practical understanding of legal and business frameworks that support telecommunications operations.

Qualifications
  • Actively enrolled in law school (2L or 3L preferred) with a GPA of 3.0 or above, demonstrating strong academic performance.
  • Strong legal reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrates initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining professional ethics and integrity.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a hybrid work environment (onsite at the Houston, Texas headquarters with occasional remote flexibility).
