Legal & Compliance Expert | US$45–US$90/hour | Remote contractor opportunity with Micro1

Micro1 is engaging experienced legal and compliance practitioners to create realistic benchmark tasks that measure what AI systems can do. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities include designing multi-step contract review, due diligence, regulatory assessment and risk-analysis tasks; supplying agreements, policies, regulatory texts and diligence files; setting objective grading criteria; checking that tasks require professional judgment and can be graded consistently; and delivering approved work to the required quality and schedule.

Micro1 seeks at least five years of hands-on responsibility in legal or compliance work, experience applying structured review standards, and the ability to reason across multiple documents and identify inconsistencies. A law degree and bar admission, or equivalent compliance qualification, is helpful but not required. English must be at least B2, with C1 preferred. AI or LLM evaluation experience is a plus.

Engagement: Project-based independent contractor, fully remote globally. The current application-page headline advertises US$45–US$90/hour; the body describes up to US$90/hour equivalent. Payment is per approved task, with approximately 10 hours per task. The hourly figures are equivalents, not guaranteed hourly wages.

Selection: screening questions, the role-specific AI interview, profile review and onboarding.
