Senior Litigation Paralegal
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal with 8+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paralegal duties, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- 8+ years of experience as a paralegal
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Case Management:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal
- Manage case files and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Coordinate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Monitor and calendar important dates and deadlines
- Document Management:
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical document databases
- Review and analyze construction documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Prepare document indices and summaries
- Assist in document production and manage document review processes
- Legal Research and Writing:
- Conduct legal research on construction defect and litigation-related issues
- Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
- Assist in preparing expert witness reports and exhibits
- Summarize deposition transcripts and prepare deposition summaries
- Discovery and Investigation:
- Assist in preparing and responding to discovery requests
- Coordinate site inspections and document reviews
- Interview witnesses and gather relevant information
- Prepare chronologies and timelines of events
- Trial Preparation:
- Assist in preparing trial exhibits and demonstrative aids
- Organize and maintain trial notebooks and files
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and prepare them
