Job Description

Meldon Law is seeking a passionate, self-starting, and strategic thinker with a strong background in sales or marketing who thrives on building meaningful relationships and developing creative strategies to turn connections into lasting partnerships. Fluency in Spanish and social media expertise are highly desirable. This hybrid role will cover both Miami and Broward counties, with an eventual expectation of being in the office at least three days a week as the team grows. The ideal candidate will have pre-existing relationships with doctors’ offices and relevant industry experience. Responsibilities include client intakes, occasional in-person tasks such as dropping off documents or signing up clients, and attending events outside traditional business hours. This is not a typical 9-to-5 position; flexibility is needed to accommodate these commitments. Above all, we are looking for someone with fire, a motivated, hardworking professional ready to dig deep and drive success.

Position Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships, expanding market presence, and achieving growth targets within an assigned territory. Operating under the guidance of the Business Development Director, the BDM identifies and develops new business opportunities, strengthens client relationships, and promotes organizational services to support overall business objectives.
Essential Functions
Territory Development:
  • Implement and manage strategic outreach plans to expand the firm’s presence in the designated area.
Client and Community Engagement:
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, referral partners, and community organizations through meetings, presentations, and events.
Lead Generation:
  • Identify and pursue new business leads and referral sources aligned with firm goals.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, leads, and outcomes using CRM tools.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with marketing and internal teams to align efforts and ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
Market Awareness:
  • Monitor competitive landscape and community trends to inform business development strategy.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, equivalent experience may include at least 4–6 years in business development, outreach, sales, or a related field, particularly in a territory-focused role. Demonstrated success in relationship development, client engagement, and goal achievement may substitute formal education.
Experience:
  • 3+ years in business development, sales, or outreach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with local markets and community engagement strategies
  • Legal or professional services industry experience preferred
