Our Abingdon, VA office is seeking a Paralegal to assist the litigation team, which includes workers’ compensation and employment related matters. We are open to candidates seeking full-time employment. We are interested in motivated candidates with prior litigation, workers’ compensation or employment paralegal experience.
Duties:
- Review and organize medical records
- Manage and maintain electronic files
- Conduct due diligence reviews and summarize data and information.
- Assist with the preparation of pleadings and discovery
- Assist with drafting and maintaining checklists
- Assist with scheduling of depositions, mediation and other meetings
- Assist with maintaining attorney’s calendar
- Preparation of files prior to hearings and mediations
- Communicate with clients and witnesses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or prior Paralegal experience and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proficiency a plus
