About the role
We're hiring a Head of Legal to lead Capchase’s global legal strategy and operations. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a critical thought partner to the leadership team.
In this role, you’ll build and scale the legal function, partnering across capital markets, finance, sales, and product teams. You’ll play a pivotal role in structuring and negotiating credit facilities, financial products, and capital market transactions, as well as overseeing regulatory matters and risk.
We’re looking for someone with deep fintech and capital markets experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited to work at the intersection of law, finance, and technology.
What you'll do 🚀Lead all legal matters across Capchase’s global operations, including corporate, regulatory, commercial, and transactional work.
Partner with our Capital Markets and Finance teams to structure, negotiate, and execute debt facilities and structured finance transactions.
Own the legal aspects of financial product development, including documentation, compliance, and risk assessment.
Support the go-to-market team with customer agreements and financing documents.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on legal, regulatory, and strategic matters.
Develop and implement internal processes for managing contracts, compliance, and legal risk.
Manage relationships with external counsel across geographies and specialties.
Monitor and respond to developments in financial regulation, licensing, and data privacy.
Build and lead a high-performing legal team over time.
7+ years of legal experience, with a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house fintech or financial services experience.
Significant experience structuring and negotiating credit facilities and/or structured finance transactions. Direct experience in equipment financing is a bonus.
Familiarity with fintech regulation, including lending, securities, and payments.
Clear, concise communication style with strong business judgment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
JD from a top law school and license to practice in the United States.
Have worked at a fintech startup or high-growth company.
Have experience managing cross-border legal matters.
Are passionate about building from 0 to 1 and scaling systems for long-term growth.
