Type: Full-Time/Exempt

Reports to: Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities:

  • Support counsel on all aspects of managing and responding to claims and litigation.

  • Gather, assemble, review, redact, and produce materials responsive to subpoenas and discovery requests, and as otherwise required as part of the claims and litigation process.

  • Collaborate with other shared services departments to ensure timely and efficient communications.

  • Process invoices and track departmental expenses.

  • Prepare summaries relating to incoming subpoenas, claims, lawsuits, and disseminate same to the organization’s key stakeholders.

  • Conduct initial investigation into incoming claims and lawsuits to assist in appropriate response, and take initial steps including identifying recipients of, and distributing litigation holds.

  • Ensure office filing system is timely updated with claims and legal documentation.

  • Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information in response to email, phone, and other departmental inquiries, and reviewing and routing incoming mail.

  • Administer immigration files including those pertaining to H1-B filings.

  • Provide support to the organization’s Legal/Risk function and team.

  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership.

  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive, assertive personality.

  • Shows initiative, anticipates issues, takes control, and sees task through from start to finish with limited oversight.

  • Ability to work on several tasks and projects concurrently.

  • Strong organizational skills and tendencies; extremely detail oriented.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to work on sensitive matters with utmost confidentiality.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat.
