Minimum qualifications:
- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
- 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Experience advising on global privacy and data protection laws.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with legal, regulatory or corporate compliance in the field of privacy and data protection, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
- Experience engaging with regulators, including State Attorney General (AG), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and global data protection authorities.
- Experience developing, advising, and evaluating programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
- Experience working with technology companies, with an understanding of complex technical issues.
- Ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet the high standards of integrity.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, time management, and investigative skills.

As an Associate Regulatory Counsel in Privacy, you will join a Global team that provides subject matter expertise and engages with regulators and others to consider the role of privacy law in the changing economy, development of new technology, and passage of new laws and regulations. You will be involved in interpreting laws, partnering with internal stakeholders across the company to mitigate risk, and help communicate our compliance externally.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
- Interpret laws and other compliance obligations and advise Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams on requirements.
- Provide legal advice on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk.
- Manage government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
