We are seeking a result-driven Contracts Attorney who is responsible for providing legal counsel and representation on corporate matters, including business law, acquisitions, real estate, contracts and more. The position will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure Marcone’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, while also supporting the strategic goals of the organization.

The person hired for this position will be required to work out of our St. Louis Corporate Headquarters.

What will you be doing?
 
  • Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various company contracts, including and not limited to purchase agreements, customer agreements, vendor contracts and lease agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on corporate laws and regulations.
  • Advise company executives on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts and present materials alongside recommendations and options.
  • Prepare legal documents and provide opinions on legal matters related to Marcone’s business.
  • Stay informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations and provide training and updates to company leadership and associates as needed.
  • Assist with corporate governance and compliance matters.

What We Need From You

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri.
  • 4-5 or more years’ experience in contract and real estate law.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri.
  • 3 or more years’ experience post law school in contract and real estate law.
  • Impeccable Professional ethics and integrity.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, financing, and zoning laws.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
