Saxton & Stump is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Malpractice Paralegal. As a Medical Malpractice Paralegal, you will be an integral part of our medical malpractice practice, supporting attorneys in delivering top-notch legal services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice law, experience in litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Please note that the role is an in-office position (8am-5pm) located in the firm’s Lancaster or Malvern offices.

- Support in the organization and submission of legal documents related to medical malpractice cases, including complaints, pleadings, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough reviews of medical records and other pertinent documents in malpractice cases, managing the documentation and facilitating analysis.
- Collaborate in the coordination of case closings, preparing necessary legal documents, and assembling comprehensive case binders.
- Draft and review legal documents specific to medical malpractice, such as demand letters, settlement agreements, and client communications.
- Maintain a centralized database of case-related information, acting as the custodian for legal forms and documents related to medical malpractice litigation.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of resources and tools specific to medical malpractice law within the legal practice.
- Engage with clients to gather essential information, providing regular updates on the progress of medical malpractice legal matters.
- Conduct legal research focused on medical malpractice issues, staying abreast of relevant laws and compliance requirements.
- Assist in preparing materials for legal proceedings related to medical malpractice cases, including hearings and depositions.
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
- 5+ years of experience as a medical malpractice litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of medical malpractice.
- Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
