Associate Attorney - Healthcare Litigation

The Firm draws on its experience representing stakeholders across the entire healthcare spectrum. In the Life Sciences, Frier Levitt has represented pharmacies of all kinds and assisted with regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters. On the Healthcare side, the Firm's clients have included large physician group practices, hospitals, hospital medical staff, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratory companies, as well as the complete panoply of ancillary service providers. Frier Levitt attorneys are licensed in numerous states. The Firm has offices in Pine Brook, New Jersey, and New York City.

An experienced Litigation Associate Attorney for our Healthcare team is sought for Frier Levitt's Pine Brook, NJ, office. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for:

• Drafting of appeals to Medical Insurance Companies on behalf of providers
• Extensive oral and written communication with clients and experts on factual investigation, case strategies and case status
• Drafting responses to medical licensing board investigations
• Review, analysis and indexing of document production
• Preparing administrative law judge hearing/trial binders
• Conducting negotiations with investigators
• Preparing witness outlines and exhibits for Medical Board hearings, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies
• Conducting oral argument at ALJ hearings
• Communicating and providing status reports to insurance company claim representatives

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in litigation (healthcare experience a plus)
• Must be willing to work in the Pine Brook, NJ, office a minimum of 2 days per week
• Admitted to practice in at least one US state
• Experience performing most/all of the job responsibilities of the position (outlined above)
• Exceptional writing skills
• Excellent oral skills
• Strong legal research skills
• Strong listener and communicator
• Strong organizational skills
• Team-player mindset, and ability to work cohesively and collaboratively with a team of attorneys
• Strong work ethic
• Able to manage a large case load and meet deadlines
• Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred

Salary

• $155,000 - $175,000/year
