Description

The distinguished Wilhite Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team, focusing on personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of litigation experience, with a minimum of two years in personal injury law and demonstrable trial experience. This role is ideal for a driven attorney with strong analytical skills, exceptional legal acumen, and a commitment to advocating for clients in complex cases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings, to ensure their interests are vigorously protected.
  • Legal Research & Advisory: Conduct thorough legal research and provide sound legal counsel, advising clients on the best course of action based on case specifics.
  • Document Drafting: Draft, review, and file critical legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, tailored to achieve favorable case outcomes.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, balancing assertiveness with a strategic approach to reach advantageous resolutions.
  • Depositions & Mediations: Attend and lead depositions and mediations, collaborating closely with clients to prepare and present their case.
  • Caseload Management: Oversee a dynamic caseload, managing deadlines and deliverables with precision.
Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • License: Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in litigation with at least 2 years focused on personal injury cases.
  • Trial Experience: Demonstrable trial experience is required, though it need not be exclusively in personal injury cases.
  • Core Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal issues to clients and colleagues.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Proficiency in analyzing legal issues and solving complex challenges in litigation.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong time-management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and handling a high volume of cases efficiently.

Compensation: $125,000-$175,000 base salary + bonus
