Supreme Court & Appellate Associate Attorney

Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join their distinguished Supreme Court & Appellate Practice in Washington, DC. This role offers the chance to litigate some of the most high-profile and consequential appellate matters in the country, including cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals, and state supreme courts.

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

• Active Bar Admission in DC, in good standing.

• 1–3 years of substantive appellate or litigation experience. Judicial clerkship experience required, preferably with a federal or state appellate court.

• Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

• Motivated, proactive, and dedicated to delivering superior client service.

• Passion for appellate advocacy and issue-driven litigation.

• Draft appellate briefs and dispositive motions in high-stakes cases across multiple jurisdictions.

• Collaborate with trial teams to preserve appellate issues and develop legal strategy.

• Analyze complex legal issues and conduct in-depth legal research.

• Present arguments in appellate courts, including federal circuit courts and state courts of last resort.

• Assist in advising clients on emerging appellate trends and the broader legal landscape.

The firm offers highly-competitive compensation, with salaries ranging from $260,000 to $390,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
