Description

Provides paralegal support for the Solicitor General (SG), members of the SG division, and other attorneys in the office. Maintains attorney calendars in complex and high-profile cases at all levels of state and federal courts. Assists with preparing trial and appellate briefs and other court documents. Creates and maintains files and data. Understands and acts in accordance with ethical duties applicable to state employees and lawyers, including but not limited to maintaining confidentiality of information.

Examples of Duties

  • Support the Solicitor General and other attorneys with administrative and clerical needs, including preparation of correspondence and pleadings; electronic filing of documents, assisting with the discovery phase of litigation including document production and management, 
  • Assist with monitoring the SG’s email, calendaring meetings and due dates, uploading email and e-filed pleadings to Sharepoint.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of files and data in office systems, including Sharepoint and AdvoLogix.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work with or without supervision, independently, and as a part of a team
