This position is located in the Office of Intelligence Operations, Operational Intelligence Division, Analysis Production Branch located in Washington, DC performing work in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on conditions, trends, and forces in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security.
Duties
- Serves as a primary source of intelligence information for special agents, through such activities as clarifying the nature of investigative intelligence indicators, requesting data to substantiate or verify information, and researching information for use in responding to collateral requests.
- Assembles, collates, and analyzes separate pieces of raw intelligence data from a variety of known and unknown sources gathered under known conditions.
- Reviews investigative and/or intelligence reports from various agencies regarding the dissemination of intelligence information for use by law enforcement entities.
- Represents the division and ATF in working groups, committees, task forces, and conferences to exchange information, resolve technical problems, eliminate duplication of effort, and coordinate multi-division activities.
- Performs liaison and coordination functions with counterparts and personnel throughout the intelligence and law enforcement communities, including Federal, State, local, and foreign agencies and organizations.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
Specialized experience must include all of:
- Researching, gathering, and analyzing intelligence or investigative information from multiple sources; AND
- Preparing or reviewing intelligence reports, assessments or other analytical products to support investigations or decision-making; AND
- Responding to intelligence information requests and verifying or obtaining additional information when needed; AND
- Coordinating and sharing intelligence information with law enforcement, intelligence or other government partners.

- Spouse of a member of the armed forces on active duty: documentation showing 1) your spouse's active-duty status and 2) your marriage to the member of the armed forces (i.e., a marriage certificate or other legal documentation verifying marriage).
- Spouse of service members who incurred a 100% disability because of the service member's active-duty service: documentation showing 1) the member of the armed forces retired, or was released or discharged from active duty, with a disability rating of 100 percent; and 2) documentation of marriage to the member of the armed forces (i.e., a marriage license or other legal documentation verifying marriage).

- You must submit "proof of a disability" documentation ("Proof of a disability" is a letter stating that you have an intellectual disability, severe physical disability or psychiatric disability).
- You must get this letter from your doctor, a licensed medical professional, a licensed vocational rehabilitation specialist, or any Federal, state, or local agency that issues or provides disability benefits.

- You must submit your separation notice or agency RIF letter from your agency OR if you have not yet been separated, you can provide the letter of intent to separate you from the agency because of reduction-in-force.
- Submit a copy of your most recent performance appraisal and SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location OR Certification of Expected Separation, Reduction-In-Force Separation Notice, or Notice of Proposed Removal; SF-50 that documents the RIF separation action; and most recent performance appraisal.
