The Regulatory Counsel will be primarily responsible for providing in-house legal advice and services relating to regulatory and governmental inquiries and reporting on product safety, product quality, emissions/environmental, importing, cybersecurity/privacy, and other issues. This role is also responsible for coordinating with legal department management, the North American Safety Office, affiliate companies, Kia America’s parent company, and outside legal counsel to manage the foregoing matters. Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and willingness to cross-train into other practice areas within the Legal Department preferred. 1st Priority - 50% Manage and provide legal advice and legal services relating to motor vehicle safety regulations. Manage and provide legal advice and legal services relating to motor vehicle environmental regulations. Provide legal advice and legal services relating to importing/customs and cybersecurity/privac. Provide reporting to the legal dept. and executives. Other projects within the legal department as needed.
