
About the Role
Grand Canyon Law Group is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Mesa-based team. This role is critical to the success of our legal operations and offers the opportunity to work alongside seasoned attorneys in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

- Conduct legal research and assist in drafting memos, pleadings, motions, and court orders under the supervision of an attorney.
- Prepare and organize documents, exhibits, and other materials for hearings, interviews, and trials.
- Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and records in the Case Management System.
- Draft letters, reports, and supporting legal documentation for use in client meetings and court proceedings.
- Prepare and respond to discovery demands; manage and review incoming discovery.
- Update and manage the firm’s Master Calendar to ensure accuracy and timely task execution.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide case updates and ensure workflow alignment.
- Attend firm meetings, including staff updates and internal procedure sessions.
- Provide backup support to administrative and legal personnel as needed.
Time Tracking / Hours Worked
- Daily: Minimum of 6 billable hours
- Monthly: Minimum of 180 billable hours
- Quarterly: Minimum of 360 billable hours
- Annually: Minimum of 1440 billable hours
Calendaring Accuracy
- Maintain a calendaring error rate of less than 1% of total entries each month
Task Completion Rate
- Complete at least 90% of assigned tasks each workday
- This position is based in a professional office setting with typical office noise levels and temperature control.
- May require standing, walking, bending, sitting for long periods, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.

Required Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from an accredited paralegal program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a law firm setting; criminal law experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-Suite.
- Skilled in data entry, calendaring, and case management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities and case demands.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly preferred.
- $28 - $32/hour
