New Jersey Resources is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provides legal advice to NJR and its affiliates (the "Company") and supervises outside counsel when necessary. Provides general advice to the Company on a host of broad ranging legal issues including contract law, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, marketing and sweepstakes law, and public utility law. Reviews and drafts contracts as well as advertising, marketing materials and other communications. Major Responsibilities•    Provides legal advice to business units throughout the Company as well as subsidiaries of NJR.•    Works with business units of the Company to negotiate and provide counseling in conjunction with various agreements including, without limitation, service, consulting, real estate, complex easements that require negotiation, software development/implementation, information technology, construction and engineering contracts and financial instruments.•    Maintains and updates contract templates, as necessary.•    Supports the Company’s artificial intelligence initiatives, including governance and implementation of artificial intelligence tools.•    Reviews advertising, marketing materials, press release and other customer-facing communications.•    Reviews, revises and drafts internal policies and procedures as necessary or requested.•    Supports and provides counseling in conjunction with non-litigation contractual/commercial disputes, as requested.•    Provides transactional support on complex transactions across the Company’s business units and complete other projects as assigned by the General Counsel. Position Requirements:•    Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school•    Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey•    Minimum of 4 years' experience practicing law•    Experience with IT contracts and artificial intelligence preferred•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills •    Proficiency in Microsoft Word * The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary. Other Details:Location type is Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $137,500 - $173,500.Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
