
District of Montana- Billings, MT The selectee of this position serves as an Administrative Officer. You will be responsible for managing the District financial program, budget program, procurement program, human resources program, property management program, the records management program, operational support (financial and administrative functions), security management, audit management, and conducting management and program analysis studies.
Duties As an Administrative Officer at the GS-0341-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Supervising the District administrative staff.
- Overseeing and coordinating all administrative support for the main District office and District sub-offices.
- Planning the work to be accomplished by subordinates; establishing priorities, assigning work, evaluating work performance, and providing advise, guidance, and counsel to subordinates.
- Interviewing candidates for administrative positions and making selections.
- Developing short and long range plans for District administrative operations.
Salary
- $105,383 - $137,000/year
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
This position is a Testing Designated Position and is subject to random drug testing.
May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.

You may qualify at the GS-0341-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
1. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability:
1) Advising management on budgetary matters such as status of funds, acquisition plans, account shortfalls, and financial regulation compliance;
2) Projecting current year expenditure (both deficit and surpluses) based on year-to-date budgetary information;
3) Applying a variety of purchasing regulations, methods, and procedures to acquire services and supplies using purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, or fixed price negotiated contracts; and
4) Providing assistance with reviewing or entering monthly open obligation reports to ensure accurate status of obligations, accruals, and paid transactions.
Subject Matter Expert - Qualification Assessment (SME-QA)
