*This position is a hybrid role that requires on-site attendance 2-3 days a week in Pittsburgh.*
The Paralegal is a client-dedicated role that supports the client’s Employment Litigation department. In this role you will serve as a Paralegal and will support attorneys. Together, you will deliver world-class support to multiple litigation and legal matters. You will interact with in-house counsel, outside counsel and provide support legal matters. As a Paralegal, you foster a collaborative environment with a can-do attitude and a vision of excellence, inclusivity, and compassion while also being process-oriented and striving for efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Work at direction of Attorneys and Paralegals
- Case management
- Preparing pleadings, motions and discovery
Additional Responsibilities/Details:
- Deposition and trial preparation
- Relativity experience
- Legal research
- Complete projects assigned by attorneys and paralegals
- Support other team members with training and education to encourage best practices and high-quality service
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 4+ years paralegal experience to support Employment litigation team
- Strong technical aptitude and interest
- Ability to work independently and proactively to meet aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment, including managing and prioritizing deliverables with cross-functional teams
- Experience conducting research, organizing information, drafting citations, and proofreading and editing documents
- Sound business judgment and ability to handle multiple wide-ranging matters and conflicting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and effectively in a positive and practical manner
- Ability to foster and facilitate teamwork by cultivating relationships, collaborating, and effectively communicating with teammates and cross-functional partners in the pursuit of team goals; shares information and supports others
- Customer service oriented and responsive
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
- Experience in Relativity is a plus
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, are essential
