Position Title:  Associate Attorney (P2)

Role

Provide legal assistance and counseling regarding real estate.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Crown Castle’s small cell and fiber solutions business
  • Collaborate with various internal clients to draft basic contracts as needed to support Legal Department colleagues and internal business stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain contract templates
  • Respond to legal inquiries and provide guidance and assistance to internal clients to support Crown Castle’s business goals and minimize risk to Crown Castle
  • Assist Attorney, Managing Counsel, and Associate General Counsel on complex contracts and transactions
  • Responsible for basic legal advice, document preparation and contract
  • Draft simple real estate documents including amendments, letter agreements, etc. as needed to support Attorney or Senior Attorney.
  • Assist Area personnel in selecting appropriate pre-approved legal form and review form for legal sufficiency after data has been entered.
  • Assist in resolving issues and formulating creative solutions that are consistent with Crown’s business goals.
  • Respond to legal inquiries, assisting Crown Castle personnel regarding applicable legal issues as needed.
  • Draft, review, revise and approve, as appropriate, contracts regarding various matters.
  • Participate in special projects.
  • Assist in resolving issues and formulating creative solutions that are consistent with Crown Castle’s business goals.
  • Proactively review defaults and disputes and guide Attorney, Managing Counsel, and Associate General Counsel regarding the resolution of defaults, including the review of emails and letters, analysis of lease documents and summary of issues presented.

Education/Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Attorney’s License (or recently sat for an applicable state bar)

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • No prior legal experience required, one (1) to three (3)+ years preferred

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment as well as proven ability to anticipate challenges and proactively provide solutions to accomplish team goals.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate, contract and business law
  • Telecommunications experience useful

  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse background, personalities and opinions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Detail oriented with superior communication skills – written and verbal

Reports to: Managing Counsel

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel. 

The pay range offered for this position is $91,400- $125,700 annually. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
