Join Fish’s Minneapolis team in our fast-paced Risk Management Department as a Transfers Assistant.

How Will You Make a Difference?

  • Project Assistance: Assist with various projects (e.g., closing files, transferring of files in/out of the firm, terminations, retention, and other special projects) as assigned.
  • Records Collection & Review: Collect records/files from offices and off-site storage and assist with reviewing for disposition or transfer.
  • Software Utilization: At the direction of the Transfers Specialist or Coordinator, use computerized records management software to update systems to reflect current data.
  • Responsiveness: Respond to requests sent via email, regular mail, instant message, and telephone in a timely manner.
  • Document Review: Review physical and electronic files in preparation of transfer.
  • Matter Opening: Assist with opening of matters in firm systems.
  • Document Organization: Assist with preparation of electronic and physical files for inclusion in firm systems.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ years of professional work experience required; preferably in the legal and/or professional services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contribute positively to team dynamics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for interacting effectively with a diverse group of attorneys and staff through phone, email, and in-person communication.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills across all responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in using standard office technology, including but not limited to personal computers, phone systems, copiers and necessary programs and applications-with a willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving technologies.
  • Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances
  • Ability to work in the Minneapolis office each Wednesday at a minimum and on occasion as needed.

  • The pay range for this position varies by geographic market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting pay is $23.15 - $30.23 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek). Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.
