As Staff Legal Counsel, you will work on reviewing marketing materials for the Medical and Instruments divisions and businesses and provide legal support on projects related to advertising and promotion. In this function, you will work closely with various business and functional units as well as colleagues in the legal department. You will also exercise independent judgment and management skills, exhibit good interpersonal communication skills, and be viewed as the principal person for coordinating and overseeing marketing materials and correlated projects for the Medical and Instruments legal teams. This is a remote position within the United States. Up to 10% of domestic travel might be required.
What you will do:
Review of U.S. marketing materials for the Medical and Instruments Divisions/Businesses.
Support the Medical and Instruments Divisions/Businesses as a central point of contact for the legal team regarding marketing materials.
Support U.S. and global projects related to advertising and promotion, such as websites and social media.
Provide guidance to the legal department and business colleagues regarding changes in advertising and promotion laws, including U.S. FDA, FTC, NAD, and other agency developments.
Support the integration of marketing activities of acquired companies.
Assist in the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
Develop and provide in-house training and education to marketing teams and other stakeholders.
Monitor legal developments and support research projects related to advertising.
Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, colleagues in the legal department, and outside counsel, if required.
Assist on other matters as needed.
What you’ll need
Required
Juris Doctor Degree
Minimum of 6 years of work experience
Preferred
Experience working in a law firm
Experience in advertising laws and regulations such as FDA, FTC
Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Experience working independently and in a team.
Experience drafting communications and guidance to business stakeholder.
Experience managing numerous projects and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment.
$112,800 - 239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
