We’re seeking a Mass Tort Settlement Attorney to oversee and execute strategic settlement negotiations across a broad portfolio of mass tort cases. You’ll play a pivotal role in securing life-changing compensation for victims of defective products, pharmaceuticals, environmental harm, and more.

Responsibilities of our Settlement Attorney
- Oversee and coordinate case progress, including collecting information, gathering evidence, and preparing cases for potential settlement.
- Represent clients in settlement negotiations, working with opposing counsel and insurers to reach a resolution.
- Ensure that settlement agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide clear and timely updates to clients regarding case progress and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of case activity, including settlement negotiations and agreements.
- Identify and resolve liens and subrogation claims associated with the case.
- Contribute to the firm's settlement processes to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Reviewing case files and medical records to determine case eligibility for settlement and assess damages.
- Evaluating offer options and communicating with clients. Guiding them through the settlement process.
- Preparing settlement documents, including releases, agreements, and necessary paperwork.
- Working with legal support staff to manage case files, research legal issues, and prepare documents.
- Communicating with other parties, including insurers, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Resolving complex lien and subrogation issues. Ensuring proper notification and verification of liens.
- Controlling case expenses: By strategically managing resources and ensuring efficient case work
Experience Required for our Settlement Attorney
- JD. degree from an accredited law school, and 3-10 years of litigation experience
- Admitted to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
- Prior experience with coordinating settlements, particularly within a law firm
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with settlement processes, client disbursements, and legal compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex processes to clients
- Proficiency in using legal and accounting software to track and manage information related to a settlement agreement and disbursements
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
