POSITION OVERVIEW
L Catterton is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our Legal and Compliance Department in Greenwich, CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, exceptional organizational abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Paralegal will support our Legal and Compliance team on private equity deal and fund matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Global Entity Management. Assist in the formation, tracking, and dissolution of deal and fund entities.
- Regulatory filings (and related tracking and management of such filings), specifically including Corporate Transparency Act filings.
- KYC documentation and customer due diligence management for deal and fund entities.
- Tracking legal billing for outside counsel relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role, preferably within a private equity firm, corporate group of a law firm, or other corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of M&A and corporate law, preferably within the financial industry.
- Strong team player who can work independently but also function as part of a dynamic and collaborative team across global offices
- Attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up
- Superior interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence, develop relationships and work with a diverse group including key external relationships, peers and colleagues, as well as senior level management
- Highly developed written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and personnel, prioritize workload and maintain composure under pressure; take initiative and possess a business-orientated, entrepreneurial mind set
- Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, maturity and good independent judgement
