Job Description

Title: Legal and Compliance Manager

General: The Legal and Compliance Manager will support the legal and compliance functions of the organization, ensuring that all contracts, licenses, and regulatory obligations are managed effectively and in alignment with company standards and applicable laws.

Responsible To: CFO

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts including vendor agreements, leases, service contracts, and employment agreements.
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure timely renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Update and maintain contract templates to reflect current legal and regulatory standards.

Compliance Oversight:

  • Manage business licenses and registrations, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including certificates of insurance, waivers, and prequalification documents.
  • Coordinate internal audits and assist with external regulatory reviews.
  • Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and provide guidance to internal teams.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Compile and analyze data for ad hoc reports to support legal, compliance, and  executive leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, attorneys, and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure alignment.
  • Educate internal teams on contract and compliance processes and requirements.

General Duties:

  • Support corporate leadership with special projects and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Accepts other duties and  activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Preferred bachelor’s degree in legal, business administration, accounting, paralegal or an equivalent combination of formal education

· Proven experience in contract management and regulatory compliance.

· Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract law.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.

· Strong organizational skills, negotiating skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills

· Ability to adapt to/navigate multiple data management systems

· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed timely/accurately.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh more than 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete  all physical requirements as listed as well as any reasonable request  during the duration of the job.

This position is On-Site

Salary Description
$90,000-$95,0000 a year
