
Client Details:
Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its expanding Construction practice in either the New York or St. Louis office.
This is a unique opportunity for attorneys with 3 to 5 years (ONLY) of experience in real estate and/or construction transactional or litigation work to build a focused practice in high-stakes construction law.
The team represents major developers, owners, and contractors on significant national and international projects, offering hands-on experience across both litigation and transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients through the full lifecycle of development and construction projects, from planning through completion and operations
- Draft, negotiate, and review construction agreements, including manuscript contracts, AIA forms, EPC, design-build, and development agreements
- Support complex real estate and construction transactions, working with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Conduct due diligence and legal research on project development, risk, and compliance
- Assist in resolving disputes, including claims for delays, defects, and contract breaches, through litigation and arbitration.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3 to 5 years (ONLY) of sophisticated real estate or construction law experience in a law firm setting
- Capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, client-focused, and proactive in problem-solving
- Admission to the New York or Missouri Bar and in good standing
