Wilson Elser's Boston office is looking for a General Liability Associate Attorney to join a team of exceptional professionals in a collaborative environment to represent sophisticated clients confronted with complex legal challenges.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney, seeking to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the firm. The Associate will gain experience with and exposure to practice areas including complex tort & general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability and product liability
Responsibilities
- Manage matters at all states of litigation
- Represent clients in a wide range of defense litigation
- Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on litigation matters
- Opportunities to handle court appearances and conduct depositions
- Communicate with clients, including providing regular reports updating clients on the status of their cases and providing recommendations regarding litigation and case resolution strategy
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Massachusetts, including Rhode Island and/or New Hampshire
- 3+ years experience
- Experience with litigation involving complex tort & general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability and/or product liability preferred.
- Superior communication, writing, analytical and research skills.
- Preparing discovery requests, objections and responses to discovery requests, and motions and briefing relating to discovery disputes.
- Handling court appearances and depositions a plus.
