
Linklaters LLP seeks Partner, M&A in New York, NY to lead and manage the corporate team along with other partners in the group, providing strategic direction and mentoring junior lawyers. Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the corporate practice. Collaborate with other partners to align the corporate practice with the firm’s overall objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored legal solutions to meet their business needs. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients. Advise on and oversee complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-out sales, joint ventures, investments and corporate restructurings with a demonstrated ability to advise on cross-border transactions involving several jurisdictions. Identify growth opportunities within the corporate sector and expand the firm’s market presence. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging legal issues to provide forward-thinking counsel. Participate in conferences, seminars, and professional events to enhance the firm’s reputation.
REQUIREMENTS: L.L.M or foreign equivalent. Experience in job offered or related occupation must include eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience at an international law firm: practicing corporate M&A law; advising financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and large US and non-US corporations on all aspects of M&A, joint ventures, and investment transactions; advising and assisting clients in connection with their legal and regulatory compliance, including securities laws matters; researching, analyzing, reviewing, drafting and negotiating memoranda, contracts and other agreements and legal documents relating to acquisition and sale of entities, businesses and assets, carve-out transactions, governance and operation of joint ventures and consortiums and investment transactions; structuring, documenting, negotiating and executing strategic transactions ; and displaying market, sector, and client knowledge beyond matter transactions to cross-sell and contribute to bringing in business from new clients or new business from existing clients, including leading pitches. Must be admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York State. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. The base salary range offered for this role will be between $650,000 and $800,000, 40 hours per week and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, as well as the needs of the firm.
