We are seeking an attorney for an initial 6-month contract in Washington DC.
Will provide timely, accurate information, legal advice, representation including in eviction and housing conditions litigation and/or non-litigation matters, referral, self-help materials, guidance, and/or other assistance to eligible clients within and related to landlord-tenant law.
- Engages in or supports systemic advocacy relating to areas of expertise.
- Conducts community outreach, education, and training events.
- Provides guidance and refers cases to volunteers, law students, and legal support staff, and monitors their work on assigned cases.
- Develops and maintains expertise in primary areas of responsibility.
- Collaborates with other legal services advocates, clients, and community leaders with the purpose of working in partnership on systemic issues.
