It is the Rice County Attorney’s Office Crime Victim Services Coordinator role to execute the goals and purpose of the Rice County Attorney’s Office Crime Victim Services Program by, providing information about crime victims’ statutory rights under Minnesota law, providing crime victim’s with resources for advocacy, developing and administering other program services, providing education to the community and professional groups, assisting RCAO prosecutors with victim contacts and meetings, assisting with grant proposals, assisting with grant reporting and completing continuing education related to crime victim services. - Examples of Duties
- Provide crime services.
- Provides training and education services to the community and justice partners.
- Assist in monitoring the execution of the RCAO Crime Victim Services Program.
- Performs other duties as necessary and directed.
- Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree preferable in the fields of criminology, psychology, social work, or related field and 2 years working in the criminal justice system, or an associate’s degree in a related field and 4 years working in the criminal justice system. Preferred prior work fields include Victim Services, Victim Advocacy, Social Work, Probation, Law Enforcement, legal assistant, paralegal or court administration staff.
HIRING RANGE / UNION: $33.74 - $35.26 per hour / GU - Grade 11
HOURS: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30/5:00 p.m., with a one hour or half hour lunch break for a total of a 40-hour work week.
