Stark & Stark has a full-time opening for a Personal Injury Litigation Associate in our Hamilton, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal research and writing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and be self-directed and detail oriented. Candidates must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have an extraordinary opportunity to continue their professional development in a challenging but collegial environment.

This position is ideal for an associate who is highly motivated, hardworking, and intellectually curious. We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn, takes ownership in their work, and is committed to mastering both written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will support personal injury cases with the oversight of other attorneys in the practice. Responsibilities will include intensive legal research and writing, developing discovery strategies and drafting discovery materials, interacting with both potential and existing clients, preparing for and eventually conducting depositions, drafting and responding to pleadings, motions and discovery requests, developing litigation strategies and themes, retaining and working with experts, actively preparing cases for trial under the mentorship of experienced trial attorneys and supporting those attorneys at trial.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Personal injury experience is a plus
  • New Jersey appellate clerkship is a plus
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus
