The Position
This is an excellent opportunity for legal professionals seeking to expand their careers who are interested in gaining fast-paced professional experience with a national law firm.
The Paralegal Clerk position is 50% administrative work and 50% paralegal work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure necessary authorizations to obtain medical records efficiently.
- Draft and refine discovery requests and responses; review, analyze, and organize document production requests from opposing parties and co-defendants.
- Prepare trial exhibits, summarize medical records and deposition transcripts, and support all aspects of trial preparation.
- Identify, compile, and structure relevant materials for expert witness review.
- Develop comprehensive chronologies of key case documents.
- Oversee document management, maintain organized case files, and ensure seamless case progression.
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate preferred, with a strong foundation in legal procedures and case management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an insurance defense law firm, with a proven ability to support litigation processes effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity and precision in all legal correspondence and interactions.
- Highly organized and tech-savvy, with proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience using document management systems.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of managing multiple assignments from various attorneys both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, meeting tight deadlines while balancing multiple case demands.
- Thorough knowledge of State and Federal court procedures and rules, with experience handling filings and case documentation.
- Proactive and eager to take on new responsibilities, demonstrating a willingness to tackle complex and challenging tasks.
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $95,000 USD
