The primary role entails acting as the central point of contact and facilitator among the merits counsel, client teams, and review teams, ensuring project requirements are met from inception to completion. As an Encompass Discovery Counsel, the position involves overseeing multiple teams to progress data through the EDRM while offering substantive and technological assistance to the attorney teams spearheading discovery initiatives. Responsibilities also include creating essential documentation for case support, such as project specifications, tracking, review manuals, and reports. Monitoring daily operations, furnishing status updates, and providing feedback to initial reviewers to address unforeseen challenges and maintain project alignment are integral duties. Furthermore, regular interaction with QC and leadership teams is essential to monitor project advancement, ensure adherence to timelines, and uphold quality benchmarks, including conducting final quality assessments before client deliverables are dispatched.
The ideal candidate should possess a proficient understanding of litigation technology, encompassing essential applications, databases, and platforms like Relativity, Concordance, Cellebrite, and Clearwell. Robust analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for proficiently assessing production set quality through intricate queries, metrics, and tools. Moreover, exceptional project management expertise is vital, including a track record of formulating reports, procedures, and frameworks that yield consistent outcomes for extensive and intricate projects. Effective communication, interpersonal finesse, and adept team leadership skills are also imperative for offering direction and feedback to both review and QC teams.
A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in managing large document review teams. Experience in managing the quality control process for document review projects is also essential.
