Position Overview: The Visual Design Specialist is the creative backbone of our marketing team, responsible for transforming ideas into visually compelling materials. This role plays a vital part in the success of our large-loss initiatives by developing high-quality visual assets that consistently reflect Merlin Law Group’s brand and elevate presentations and campaigns. Working across various departments, this position ensures our messaging is clear, professional, and engaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Create visually compelling presentations, PowerPoints, flyers, event invitations, and digital/print collateral that support marketing strategies, speaking engagements, and client outreach.
- Brand Consistency: Uphold and enhance Merlin Law Group’s brand identity through consistent visual design across all materials. Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all design elements.
- Collaborative Creation: Work closely with Marketing Coordinators, the Integrated Communications Manager, and the Multimedia Producer to support ongoing campaigns, events, and client engagement efforts. This includes adapting designs to fit various media formats, from social posts to printed event invites.
- Event and Campaign Support: Design and produce materials for firm events, client workshops, webinars, and other large-loss marketing initiatives, providing a cohesive and professional look to all assets.
- Innovative Visual Solutions: Stay current on design trends and propose innovative ideas for visual content. Assist in brainstorming sessions with the marketing team to develop new approaches for client engagement and brand visibility.
- Project Management: Organize and prioritize design requests from across the marketing team, ensuring timely delivery and efficient project flow. Maintain a repository of design templates and frequently used assets for easy access.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in visual design, preferably in a marketing or creative role within professional services.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), PowerPoint, and other relevant design tools.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating visually cohesive and impactful presentations, marketing materials, and event collateral.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt designs to meet specific strategic goals.
