As a crucial member of our business licensing department, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting licensing processes, and contributing to the growth of our organization.
What you will do:
- License Application Management:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of business license applications.
- Work closely with internal departments to gather necessary information for applications.
- Monitor and track the status of license applications, ensuring timely approvals.
- Legal Research and Compliance:
- Conduct research on local, state, and federal licensing requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in licensing laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure ongoing compliance with licensing standards.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized records of business licenses and related documents.
- Prepare and file necessary documents with regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of efficient document management systems.
- Communication and Stakeholder Interaction:
- Interact with government agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with a focus on clear, concise, and friendly language.
- Provide support in resolving licensing-related inquiries and challenges.
- Technology Integration:
- Leverage technology tools for legal research, document management, and communication.
- Explore and suggest innovative ways to enhance efficiency within the licensing process.
How you will shine:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on business licensing
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field OR combination of education/work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead conversations, gain insight and build trust and collaboration with various types of people and sections within Mister.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems such as MS Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Smartsheet.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities.
