
CFCU Community Credit Union (CFCU) is seeking a Junior Paralegal to assist the Mortgage Loan Department and Legal Department with mortgage loan-closing documents and closing transactions. Reviews title work for HELOC/HE, refinances and purchases. Requires regular communication with attorneys, law firms, realtors and credit union members.
& Responsibilities:
· Prepares all documents for closing including, but not limited to, TRID documents, closing statements, supplemental closing documents, and payoff letters. Ensures all required loan documentation has been received and uploads necessary documents to the VLF. Verifies complete file for mortgage closing.
· Conducts closings for credit union refinances and purchases.
· Answers credit union member and attorney phone calls. Distributes closing data/documents to members/law offices.
· Maintains Closing Pipeline and Legal Metrics.
· Fax/email commitments to borrowers/law offices.
· Assists with Legal email questions/inquiries.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
· High school or equivalent
· One to three years of similar or related experience; paralegal experience preferred.
· Must have strong communication skills. Contact with outside partners including credit union members, credit union vendors, realtors and attorneys, requiring ordinary courtesy, confidentiality and tact when providing assistance and information.
· Basic computer proficiency; ability to use windows software, computer keyboard and mouse, email, calculator, scanner, fax and copy machine.
