Job Title: Video Production Associate

 

Position Summary:

 

Magna Legal Services is seeking experienced candidates in the Legal Video industry to join our Video Department team. This role involves editing, converting, and processing of Video Depositions and the associated data entry required for each job. The ideal candidate will have experience covering in-person video depositions, as well as extensive proficiency in video production.

 

This is a hybrid position with several days a week required on-site at our office in Los Angeles, CA. There may be occasional last-minute requirements to travel locally in-person as well as attending one or two of our annual conferences to provide video production assistance, ensuring seamless event coverage and support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of weekly video assignments, ensuring all tasks are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Handle data entry and paperwork for each assignment, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Provide in-person coverage for video depositions, ensuring all technical and logistical aspects are managed effectively.
  • Answer phones and manage emails in a timely manner while providing proficient customer support.
  • Burn, duplicate and ship DVD’s or other forms of physical media.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support on-site video assignments and depositions.
  • May be required to lift up to 30–40 pounds.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 Years Experience in Videography and Video Production
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, for video editing and post-production tasks.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office for managing documentation, data entry, and reporting.
    • Experience in converting and encoding video files to various formats for different platforms.
    • Competence in camera operation, ensuring high-quality video capture during assignments.
    • Ability to troubleshoot audio-visual equipment, addressing technical issues that may arise during video recordings.
    • Skilled in microphone placement and understanding of audio cable routing to ensure clear and professional sound quality.
    • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on both email and phone communication, ensuring professionalism, responsiveness, and clarity in all client interactions.
  • Certifications: (Preferred) Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS)
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Attention to detail

 

Compensation: USD $40,000 - $45,000 per year.

 

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
