Role Summary:

We are seeking a TV Business and Legal Affairs Assistant to support the Executive Vice President and Head of TV and Feature Film Business and Legal Affairs, and to provide occasional support to other executives in the TV Business and Legal Affairs Department. The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest in TV and Feature Film business and legal affairs and exceptional abilities in managing stakeholders, exhibit a high level of competence in navigating fast-paced environments, and have strong initiative to ensure successful execution of projects. They must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who can handle scheduling across multiple time zones, support high volume calendars, and possess a keen attention to detail. Additionally, the candidate should be eager to take on substantive business affairs and legal projects. This role requires interaction with high-level internal and external executives, agents and attorneys in a professional and confidential manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to Business Affairs/Legal executives, including managing calls, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel and expense reimbursement.
- Maintain and organize various documents and contracts, updating databases and distributing them to internal and external teams as necessary.
- Ensure smooth administrative operations by organizing internal databases, monitoring deal progress for senior team members, and maintaining records of drafts and communications.
- Update the legal tracker and distribute it across departments for visibility.
- Prepare start paperwork and manage payment process for A-level talent.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Strong interest in a career as an attorney and/or executive in the film and TV industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Airtable.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrates a proactive, self-starting approach and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with confidentiality and diplomacy.
