Join our dynamic, multi-specialized team as Counsel on the Litigation team, where you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various departments including Risk and Compliance, Audit, Sustainability, Intellectual Property, HR, and Government Affairs. This role offers a unique chance to engage with diverse teams and contribute to impactful projects across a leading global data analytics and technology organization. 

This role is based in Jersey City, NJ. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week with the option of working remotely for the remaining two days.

 



Responsibilities

In this role, you will

  • Shape, inform and implement multifaceted litigation strategies across various subject matters to advance and protect company priorities
  • Strategize, coordinate and manage all aspects of pre-litigation matters, including investigating facts and documents related to disputes and litigation 
  • Provide regular reports to the Chief Litigation Counsel, relevant senior management and risk management of all litigation and related matters
  • Manage and oversee outside counsel in litigation and enforcement matters, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and settlement negotiations
  • Attend depositions of Company witnesses, mediations, arbitrations and trials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, assess risk and develop legal strategies to resolve disputes
  • Identify opportunities for improving internal litigation processes and implement solutions


Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Admission to New Jersey Bar (or Admission to other state bar with NJ Limited License for In-House Counsel)
  • Minimum 7+ years of combined relevant legal experience including both law firm litigation and in-house experience
  • Effective negotiator with a good sense for practical business solutions to problems
  • Self-assured and comfortable handling matters independently
  • Energetic with a dynamic personality and can inspire the confidence of the business team, management, departmental colleagues and other support groups
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and strategic, proactive decision making
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple matters in a timely manner
