As the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of administrative and operational functions across all BHA facilities throughout the Commonwealth. Your main duties will consist of the oversight of facilities management, regional office operations, human resources, budget administration and preparation, as well as the Bureau's electronic case management and data reporting systems. In this position, you will translate legal mandates and policy requirements into system-wide administrative procedures. You will also support and lead change management efforts, including implementing new administrative practices and legal compliance protocols. By applying judgement to hiring, supervision, and professional development, you will support the human resources functions for the Bureau and ensure operational effectiveness and procedural integrity. You can expect to integrate legal expertise with operational leadership to ensure statewide alignment with adjudicative standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous process improvement across the Bureau’s regional offices. Additionally, you will oversee the preparation and monitoring of the Bureau’s operating budget, as well as serve as liaison with legal counsel, federal partners, and Commonwealth agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of your probationary period or training. Work assignments will primarily take place in the office. Telework will be based on operational needs of the bureau. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- $77,379 - $117,497/year
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional legal work which includes one year of trial work experience; and a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
Special Requirements:
- All positions require possession of a certification of current license and active admission in good standing to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
