The Denver office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Assistant to provide legal and administrative support to the Oil & Gas team in our Environmental Practice Group.
Primary responsibilities include:
Draft, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Schedule appointments, travel arrangements, conferences and client meetings
Perform administrative tasks such as preparing expense reports, check requests and time entry, as requested
Maintain client and administrative files in accordance with firm procedures, including within the document management system
Superior knowledge of e-filing and court procedures (state and federal)
Ability to prepare complaints and other pleadings
Ability to prepare documents, forms, declarations and exhibits for attorneys
Prepare discovery requests and responses
Capable of multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm.
Oil & Gas experience a plus
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products with special emphasis on MSWord, Excel, Time & Billing software
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work overtime, when needed
CO salary range $70,000 - $105,000.
