Minimum qualifications:
- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of attorney-level experience in-house,at a law firm or in government.
- Experience with generative AI, privacy, IP, open source, competition, content moderation/safety, accessibility, or consumer protection.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with product counseling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to make decisions in an ambiguous environment with imperfect information.
- Ability to manage many requests from varied client teams and balance competing priorities with limited direction.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues in writing and in meetings.

We enable product teams to create cohesive experiences across Google products, unlock the power of data, simplify for developers, build integrated solutions to protect users, and empower Googlers with world-class technology.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
