Salary Range: $125K-$215K
About:
Our client is hiring a litigation associate for the firms general liability/professional liability practice group in their San Francisco office.
The firm provides comprehensive solutions for the legal needs of companies throughout California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action.
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
- Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Keep files organized to ensure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in both real estate professional liability and employment.
- Must have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice.
- Must also be a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills, can work with multiple clients, and is ready to hit the ground running.
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients.
- Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association).
- Successful completion of the bar exam.
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- 1850 billable hours.
