OVERVIEW
The Document Processing Specialist – EDGAR provides document processing support, with a specialty in EDGAR, to attorneys and clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and revises complex legal documents, adhering to Firm guidelines;
- Coordinates and communicates effectively and professionally with the Document Processing Supervisors regarding workflow and other issues that may arise;
- Answers telephones and provides technical help, when required;
- Proofreads work for accuracy;
- Troubleshoots documents;
- Works effectively within a team and as an independent operator, as workflow dictates;
- Learns and effectively uses new software, as required;
- Follows all documented procedures;
- Attends training, as directed; and
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred;
- 3+ years of experience as an EDGAR and/or document processing operator in a legal environment, or equivalent experience;
- Experience in EDGARizing documents and in legal document processing;
- Typing speed 65+;
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of PROFILE EDGAR software, DocX Tools, Workshare Compare, OmniPage, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Outlook;
- Excellent graphic skills, including use of Adobe Photoshop, a plus;
- Excellent proofreading, communication, grammar, writing and organizational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; detail-oriented;
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
