Position Summary:
Under general direction, the Candidate shall perform duties related to the preparation, development, review, processing, and maintenance of contracts for a wide variety of services provided by The Guthrie Clinic and outside contractors in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The Candidate shall monitor and coordinate the contract approval process from contract generation to contract execution for all contracts.
Experience:
Prior experience in healthcare, contracting, or with in-house legal department strongly preferred. Candidate must demonstrate current competencies applicable to this job position including strong analytical skills, familiarity with contracting principles and contracting language, as well as strong organizational and customer service skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience with contracts
Will consider equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Essential Functions:
- Prepares, reviews, edits, and verifies contracts and associated paperwork to prepare complete contract packages;
- Checks submitted documents for completeness and compliance with contract review process;
- Maintains, updates, and retrieves contract documents as needed;
- Prepares, reviews, edits, and maintains contract templates for the organization;
- Prepares and reviews confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements;
- Prepares and aids business owners in terminating active contracts, as well as preparing and reviewing termination letters;
- Participates and aids in implementation of contract management platform as necessary;
- Maintains and is responsible for utilization, access, and general help for business owners in a contract management platform;
- Participates and aids in organizational contract process redesign as necessary;
- Collaborates with multiple departments to align contract terms;
- Directly communicates with business owners regarding contract process, negotiations, questions, etc.;
- Performs any necessary administrative duties;
- Assists the legal services department in various initiatives and assignments as necessary; and
- Operates standard office equipment including pertinent software applications and hardware.
