Job Description
esVolta is an innovative industry leader in development, design, construction, financing, and management of utility scale energy storage projects. We are seeking a legal intern to support the build out of our compliance matrix.  To build out the matrix you will need to engage with teams from the development, asset management, commercial operations, and safety functions within the company.  You will gain valuable insights into the dynamic business of battery storage. This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer at esVolta.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and draft memos on various legal issues.
  • Support the legal team in building out a compliance matrix and managing compliance matters.
  • Participate in meetings and provide legal insights to different departments.
  • Collaborate on special projects and present findings to senior leadership.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in renewable energy and battery storage and related policies is a plus.

Compensation
The anticipated annual hourly rate for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
