Equal Employment Opportunity Commission See More Job Openings by This EmployerAs a Supervisory Attorney Adviser (Civil Rights) at the GS-0905-14, you will be part of the Workforce Engagement & Accommodation Resources Division, Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). If selected, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on matters regarding all aspects of promoting equal employment opportunity (EEO) throughout the agency, and to manage all engagement and accommodation programs, training, and initiatives at the EEOC.
Duties- Supervises, plans, directs, and evaluates a division’s reasonable accommodation and accessibility programs; assigns work, evaluates performance, resolves grievances, recommends selections, and oversees employee training and development.
- Serves as legal adviser to the Division Director on complex legal issues and practical impacts involving the administration, interpretation, and enforcement of Title VII, EPA, ADEA, GINA, ADA, and applicable State and local laws.
- Ensures budgetary support and execution for engagement and accommodation programs; develops training to strengthen EEO compliance; provides direction and resources, and establishes program objectives, priorities, and parameters.
- Develops disability employment guidelines, practices, and procedures; ensures compliance with laws, regulations, executive orders.
- Coordinates accessibility and technology accommodation programs with the Chief Information Officer, including assistive technology, ergonomics, Section 508 compliance, and CAP, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

For the GS-14:You must have earned a professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, be an active member of the BAR, and have three (3) years of professional legal experience with at least one year being equivalent to the GS-13 level.
Professional legal education above the first professional law degree may be substituted for experience required as follows:(a) The second professional law degree (LL.M) may be substituted for one year of experience (b) The third law degree (J.S.D) may be substituted for one year of experience beyond the LL.M.

- Most recent Performance Appraisal, if applicable.
- Current or Former Federal Employees (if applicable) - please provide a copy of your last or most recent SF-50, "Notification of Personnel Action" which preferably shows your current title, series and grade (do not submit an Award SF-50). If your current grade is not your highest permanent grade held, submit a copy of an additional SF-50 showing your highest grade held.
- Veterans' Preference documentation, if applicable (e.g. DD-214 Member Copy 4 showing type of discharge/character of service; Current Active Duty members must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active duty under honorable conditions dated within 120 days; SF-15 Form and related documentation; VA letter.)
- Current or Former Political Appointees (if applicable) - The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
