Position Overview

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team at our Overland Park, KS office.

This position is accountable for performing a variety of legal assignments, including providing assistance with contracts, real estate, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain competence in various legal and administrative areas

  • Assist in corporate governance matter, including but not limited to: the preparation, organization, and maintenance of various documents required for various legal matters including the preparation and filing of annual reports for the company and its affiliates; documents to qualify the company and its affiliates to do business in various states or withdraw from various states; register fictitious, assumed and trade names; manage officer changes and affiliate minute books; and maintain the company’s hCue database

  • Perform research on various legal matters and draft legal memoranda

  • Generate and review standard agreements

  • Assist with real estate and litigation matters

  • Assist with immigration work, including communications with employees

  • Assist with merger and acquisition activity including support of due diligence and closing

  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining company’s intellectual property, including patent, trademark, and copyrights, and in securing or renewing licenses.

  • Maintain related files in an orderly manner; assist with overall records retention practices

  • Assist with departmental invoicing, budget and forecasting; manage certain subscriptions and services

  • Performs routine, entry-level assignments

  • Knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts gained through education and/or experience

  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments

  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems

  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience)

  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required

  • Paralegal certification preferred
